FOUR WEEK INTRODUCTION

CLASS OF THE SUZUKI

METHOD (8 hours)

Following the seminar we want to see both parent and child take our introduction class. This course is strongly recommended before your beginner student of age 3 - 8 will start regular instrumental instruction. Depending on how many calls we get, there are many options how we can tailor the class to different groups of students. INTRODUCTION COURSE DESCRIPTION:

I. Children & Parents: Suzuki Music & Movement, Teacher: Christina Berg. Description: No instrument needed. Students will get familiarized with the music in Suzuki book 1 in special activities. Parents will get creative ideas how to practice with your child. The class will provide a positive introduction to making music together with others and help towards a successful start on the instrument.

II. Parents Only: Hands-On Orientation Class, Teacher: Director Goran Berg and the individual teacher. Description: Instrument is needed. Parents will learn how to play the instrument, how to choose the right size of instrument, maintain, rent or buy instruments. Information handouts and discussion about topics concerning the Suzuki Method and educational philosophy, making it so distinctively unique in focusing on the child.
